No 3: STRANGERS AGAIN

we were once strangers, 

and now we are again.

I hadn’t known anybody and 

somehow you had found me, 

or fate paired us, I’m not too sure 

but what I am sure of is that in 

the end, it wasn’t everlasting, 

but I’ll admit I enjoyed the time 

when I didn’t know it’d be the past.

I used to know everything 

about you and your family

but now it’s a distant memory 

and I’m sure I am to you all, too.

you used to tell me every story 

and I’d go to you first if there were 

to be anything, but now there is 

nothing and there is no tale to tell.

perhaps it was fate it happened, 

maybe it just was a coincidence, 

possibly a strange glitch, but all in all, 

this is all I can say to be certain of:

we were once strangers, 

and now we are again.
