A drunk superhero will never look himself in the eye.

The mirror is too bright, 

And her eyes are far too dark.

He doesn’t hear her screams as he smashes the Stella against the wall.

Green glass now fashioned as a weapon, 

But the daughter of affair sees sea glass.

His foot steps on the shards and leaves a snail trail of blood,

down the stairs,

past the car,

back to the mirror.

He paints an eye on the reflective glass using his new red ink.
