And she fell asleep again to the sound of the old lady’s cane 

A mechanical thud down the hallway

A tap dancer in a museum,

Performance art

She wished that someone would fall so deeply in love with her that they could draw her sleeping when she was away

And come home to a charcoal love

Taxi dropped her off at the event horizon 

As she was still looking for a locket she never received

To fall in love in the fall of Paris

To fall in love to charcoal ink dreams
