No 6: CUE BOREAS

JACLYN OLSEN

Cue Boreas.

A thick breeze thins,

Parts and combs her hair.

Cue melancholy.

And it comes in creases. Alack,

Frown lines are first to settle.

Cue anomalous things, bound though they are.

Bound to cement then ash and pulver.

Let them rend your body.

Leave your druthers at the door.

Let them rend your body.

Ache the hour over.

Remember, how she blessed the men,

She blessed them in her way.
